Updates about Matthew:

He still goes to speech, but he is doing great and he talks all the time. I still find it necessary to translate what he says for people a lot, but people are understanding him more and more.

Loves Toy Story still, also super heroes, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Phineas and Ferb, and a huge fan of Legos.

Likes to have you read to him and he has been into "reading" to you lately.

Enjoys going to Kindermusik, he is actually the center of attention. When we do circle dances he will go in the middle and start spinning, he also sings along to the songs.

He is actually quite sociable now and talks to more people and kids.

Funny Things he says and does:

Grant told him he was going to wash Matthew's hind quarters and Matthew said, "but I don't have any money.

At Connor's Christening this past weekend Matthew was quite comical/embarrassing. The deacon asked all the kids to come up to the baptismal fountain. Well now that Matthew is Mr. Sociable he went right up with no problem. All the kids were kind of putting their hands in to see what it felt like. Matthew did this but first he took a second to roll up his sleeves. Then when it was time to go back to his seat and all the other kids had left he realized that this was his last chance, so he put his hands right in and starting splashing. As Grant approached him he saw water going in the air and Matthew came back to the pew with a wet head. He was quite a hit when we got to Joe's parents house for the party after we had many people coming up to us and saying how funny it was and one nice woman said he was the star of the show.

Matthew's speech teacher practiced writing his name with him. This is a picture of what he did, I actually think it looks pretty good.

He is attempting to use a cup again. He doesn't like it because he spills all over himself and he doesn't want to be messy.

He needs help because for some reason instead of putting the cup in his mouth he puts his entire lower face in.
