Fun Firsts

Molly just had her first experience finger painting, I was upset with myself for waiting so long, Matthew was under a year when I tried it with him. She was her usual self with it she liked it at first but that was short lived and she was done. I was able to get 3 pictures out of her.

She just realized this is kind of fun.

Matthew always loves art projects

Molly had her first experience with Play Doh this week, or a Play Doh like substance that I don't remember the name of. She seemed to really like it and only tried to put it in her mouth once I think. First experience-Am I allowed to play with this or should I eat it?

Wow, this is interesting

A little help from Daddy

Now she's getting into it, you can tell by her face she's using a lot of energy on this project.

Matthew didn't even remember we had Star Wars Play Doh which is one of his favorite things right now. We have to do Star Wars trivia at dinner each night.

Karate and Gymnastics

So happy he has his Gi. He still loves it after the 3rd week so that is pretty good.

One of the techniques he learned already.

Karate chop, I guess I shouldn't tell him to smile when he is supposed to be doing karate poses.

The back

Her she comes

She usually will not go anywhere near the bars, but she kept walking around the area today and even went up to touch them.

She tried hanging for a little bit, she did remember at one point to pull her feet up to hang.

She loves looking at herself in the wall of mirrors.

She's done

This was her second attempt at the bar, her first was better.

Snow Firsts

Molly had her first time playing in the snow on Friday. She was here last year for all the snow but this was her first official time playing in it. She wasn't super excited about it but she did last about 30 minutes out there.

In her new sled, thanks Nine

Her favorite part of sledding was when Peyton pulled her.

Our little man loves the snow, this time he was burying Toy Story guys for us to find.

Sledding Firsts

This past Saturday we spent some time sledding. This was actually Molly and Matthew's first time sledding down a big hill. Molly liked it right up until the end when snow went in her face. Matthew loved it and even went by himself. The adults just weren't too excited about having to walk up the hill then walk back down when he went by himself. We got some new inner tube sled and you can always count on Bo bo to show up with an antique. We were the only people there with a wooden sled.

Molly Update

Here is a Miss Molly update for you all. Because our little Molly is so small in weight but growing in height our doctor decided to start running some tests. She is 75th percentile in height and less than 5% in weight. She is a little less than 19 pounds. So last week she had a urinalysis to test her sugar for diabetes luckily that came back fine. Then on Monday at 7:30 am we had to go for a blood test. (That experience was almost harder on Grant and I than her because we had to watch her get her blood taken also she was not happy to be up so early). Anyway that day they tested her thyroid and her other cell levels to see if anything came back abnormal. Today we went to the doctor and everything from her blood test came back normal. So now we have to see a dietician to see if she just isn't getting enough calories (which for anyone who has seen her eat seems hard to believe). Our next step would be to see an intestinal doctor. So I'll keep everyone posted. But for all around her she is probably skinny because she never sits down.

Showing her band aide from the doctor
As you can see it didn't phase her. She wasn't' happy she couldn't eat or have juice or milk for 12 hours. Immediately following the doctor we went to McDonald's where she polished off almost 1 and a half pancakes and chocolate milk.

One amusing thing about Matthew right now. Apparently on some show he saw a person use air quotes so now when he is talking to you he will all of a sudden just use them. It is quite hysterical. Also last week Matthew started karate. The first thing he said when he was done was that he needed a karate outfit.

Monkey Joe's at Home

For Christmas Nine and Bo bo got Matthew and Molly their own jumping house. So since its supposed to snow (we'll see) and we might be stuck in for a little bit I thought it would be fun to get it out and play with it. They had a great time in it already. Stuffed animals joined the fun later on.

The weight limit is 12o pounds so he was asking who all could go on it. Sorry everyone he now knows if you weigh over 120 pounds. He has decided that Mikayla, Sam, Jack, Luke, and Cameron can go on with him.

She's beat

Love the hair-see she does have longer hair look at the way it is sticking up.

Ahh, those nice moments when they play together. Those moments are actually a little more frequent now. The other day they were both playing on the top of Matthew's bed with his Toy Story toys. Its so sweet when you see that.
