Brickworld-Father's Day Fun

Grant kindly let us go to Brickworld in Wheeling for Father's Day this year. Matthew had a great time and seeing all the creations was pretty amazing. It makes me feel pretty pathetic for just following the directions I get for each kit. We have a ton of pictures I will save you though and just show a few.

The Lord of the Rings battle, at Gondor. There were exhibits of this starting at the hobbit holes, the Mines of Moira, Rivvendale, the two towers, it was incredible. So much detail, and look at all the guys ready for battle. We have lots of pictures of these exhibits too.

Look at all the detail, the exhibits are incredible. It must take 100s of hours to plan and create these.

Matthew got to add a brick to this big castle.

This was really cool, its Andy's room. I have a lot of pictures of this because there was so much detail.

Molly 9 Months

Molly had her 9 month check up and she's doing great. The doctor said we may have to invest in a tent for the top of the crib because Molly seems like she'll be a stinker and try to climb out a lot. I didn't know they even made those but apparently she had to have one for her son, and Grant knows someone who had to have one. She said she can't believe how squirmy Molly is. She can stand on her own for probably at least 15 seconds and she can walk her toys with wheels across the room. Here are her stats this month.

Weight: 16 pounds 8 ounces (10th percentile) Matthew-19 pounds 10 ounces

Height: 28 inches (50th percentile) Matthew-29.5 inches

She's a petite gal so far.

She is so squirmy these pictures get harder and harder to take, she won't sit still.

Matthew's Classes

Matthew is going to be a busy boy this summer. We have him enrolled in all different types of classes to get him ready for preschool on his own. He has swimming lessons, t-ball, Kindermusik, and a class called Kids Day Away. I'm sure we'll have many more pictures to follow but here are a few from swimming and t-ball.

The first day they just ran the bases and learned about the positions. After one time he said he liked it we'll see how this week goes.

He knew all the answers when they asked what the bases were.

He loves swimming lessons. He is quite a goofball and instigator though. The three kids take turns at times going on their back and front with their teacher. When it is another kid's turn Matthew waits until the teacher turns her back then follows them, gets the other kids to follow as well, and then gets on the teacher's back.

He continually encourages group hugs and puts his arms around other kids. He has taught the other kids to follow the teacher when she leaves with another kid as well. But each week we ask the teacher how he behaved and she says fine. She must think he's really cute

Start of Summer Fun

My mom and I have been taking advantage of Groupon and Family Finds. We have taken the kids some place new almost every week with deals we find on there.
