Everyday Life

Molly and Matthew updates. Matthew went to the doctor this week and he had a great time. When we walked out he said the doctor was fun. He was a big boy this time and got weighed and measured like adults do, which is great because he hated the old way. Then he had his blood pressure taken just like a big boy. He was a little hesitant at first talking to the doctor but once she made his belly button light up he was great. He had to only get one shot, his flu shot. He refused the band aid which was hysterical. Overall, it was a great doctor visit. He weighs 30 pounds and 6 ounces and is 37.75 inches tall. Both of those are in the 50th percentile, so finally his weight is out of the 25th percentile. I forgot to get Molly weighed but when I weighed her with me she weighed about 13 pounds. She loves hugging things. (and losing 1 sock)

Grant was working from home, and Matthew thought he better get to work too. He dragged his chair over and said he needed his Handy Manny laptop. At one time Grant was reading and not typing so Matthew asked him why he wasn't moving his hands (he did the motion).

Grant wanted to see if the Build a Bear hockey helmet would fit Molly, and it did! She left it on longer than Matthew wanted to keep the real one on when he tried hockey.

Molly sleeps in the crib in her room now, and every morning when I go to get her this is the smiling face I see.

She'll sleep from 1ish until 8:30, take a bottle than sleep two more hours.

What a great big brother Matthew is. Tonight he took an ornament off of Molly's tree and immediately Grant and I told him he had to put it back. Then we asked him which ornament he took and it was a tiny baby girl. We asked why he wanted that one and he said he wanted to have Molly on his tree. So of course we let him put Molly on his tree. What a sweetie.

Molly at 3 Months

Today was Molly's 3 month birthday. I don't have any weight or height measurements yet. Matthew goes to the doctor on Wednesday so I was going to try and have her weighed then. Molly is quite a happy baby she always seems to be laughing or smiling. She can almost roll all the way over from her back to her stomach. She's close but not quite there yet. She doesn't really like to sleep during the day much which is good, just makes it hard to get things done around the house. She sleeps like 6 or 7 hours at night wakes up for a bottle then goes right back to sleep for a few more hours. At the bottom is a comparison of months 1-3. If you notice she is getting significantly bigger than Minnie. Enjoy!

Cooking with Chef Matthew

Matthew made some muddy snowballs this past weekend. Let me tell you they taste as good as they look and sound. But Matthew had a great time cooking them.

Oh Christmas Tree...How Lovely are Your Branches?

This year Matthew was very excited about decorating the trees. He does prefer ornaments that have string as opposed to hooks. His idea of hanging is a little different than mine but the result is quite adorable.

As you can see Matthew thinks more is better. He has five toy story ornaments on one branch and about 5 bows on the one right next to it.

He did space the chipmunks on the left of the tree out a little bit.

As you can see the tree is a little bottom heavy on the ornaments. Also next to him is his Peanuts nativity which is missing half the pieces because they are currently located in his alien crane.
